The grey remains of a friendship scarred
It’s not new to me, but lately I keep coming back to the Shins’ album Chutes Too Narrow. I’m generally a pretty mainstream kind of guy, so I’m not trying to claim any special indie cred or anything, but I like every song on that album a whole lot more than any of the (really decent) songs that have floated around since the band got really popular.
I’ve also been listening to a lot of Avenged Sevenfold’s City of Evil… go figure. Also, Rise Against’s The Sufferer and the Witness.

The Shins are great, my friend turned me onto them recently. They had a great performance on SNL last week. I love their attitude of staying with the indie label despite having been approached by many mainstream ones. Reason? Keepin’ it real for those TRUE fans.
Looks like we like the same sites

@Tony - Grin… I was tossing up a couple of random links last night, just to have something up there, and yours was the first blog to come to mind: regularly updated, interesting, and a friend to boot! Perfect. Hopefully my little link will add 4 or 5 to that readership goal of yours.
