About Us

This is the blog of Eugene, a young Asian-American gent trying to figure out life.  The site was intended as a blog for both himself and his girlfriend, Alice, but it’s looking to be a solo effort.  The following was written by the both of them, and is all still true, obviously.  And yes, they are wearing matching shirts in the picture.  They’re disgusting like that.

Eugene is often called Eug or Eugie, and sometimes Bolo. He is a lazy and unmotivated freelance writer, which basically just means he doesn’t know what he wants to do yet. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s in English Literature, and pretty much thinks it was a big waste of four years. He loves cars and motorcycles, video games and computers, music and film. He is an amateur (tenor) singer and pretends to play the guitar. He used to rap, and was damned good, too! He was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States when he was 3, and has been rockin’ it ever since. He also might just be the world’s biggest dork.

Eugene does his lazy best to chronicle his life with a Canon Powershot SD900, and sometimes with the blurry eye of his Treo 700W.

Alice’s name is pronounced uh-LEASE, due to being French. She is a third-year physics undergrad at the University of California at Davis, with dreams of going all the way and getting a big damned PhD and landing some posh, cutting-edge research job, just like her hero Richard Feynman. She loves aquarium fish, trashy television, chocolate, and destroying Eug at Scrabble. She loves classical music, and bangs drums, gongs and cymbals as a percussionists in the UC Davis Concert Band. She was born in France and moved to the United States when she was 3, and has been rockin’ it ever since. She idolizes the world of competitive eating.

They live together with their cats and fish and cars and motorcycles and collections of physics books and occasional roommate Natalie in Davis, California, the land of… uh… nothing. Flatness. The occasional cow (which cannot be tipped). Anyway, they live there in their neverending quest for the ultimate meaning of life! …or food and entertainment. AND KATAMARI. WE LOVE KATAMARI. naaaaa, na na na na na, nunun nah na na NANA na! (dugudu dugudu) NA, NA NA NA NA NA
