MAXINE - “MAX” - 1995 Pearl White Nissan Maxima SE

Eugene’s first car, bought used in the summer of 2002 with approximately 75,000 miles. Since then, it has been modified with a Warpspeed Y-pipe and high-flow catalytic converter, slotted brake rotors, a Cattman front strut tower brace, and an Injen in-fender-style cold air intake. A Cattman rear sway bar has been sitting in Eugene’s parents’ garage for some time now, waiting to be installed. As of January of 2007, Max (”She’s kind of a tomboy”) has approximately 110,000 miles, a broken passenger window regulator, balding tires, dying brake pads, and a very dirty exterior and interior, but is still Eugene’s trustiest mode of transportation. She has endured a college commute between San Jose and Santa Cruz, hopped curbs, embarrassed ricers, drifted mountain roads in pursuit of speedy Miatae, and braved winds, rain and snow to do anything and everything Eug has asked of her. Eugene wishes he had the money to give her the VQ35DE, manual transmission, upgraded brakes, fresh tires and new paint job she so sorely deserves.
FAYE - 2000 Black/Tan Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible

Purchased in March of 2005 with approximately 68,000 miles, this car marked a lot of firsts for Eugene. It was his first manual transmission, his first rear-wheel drive, his first V8, his first sports car, and his first convertible. Faye got him through all of these adjustment periods with very little hassle, the only major repairs needed so far being an LS6 clutch to replace the dying OEM clutch. Otherwise stock, she has gotten him into and out of a lot of trouble since entering his life, having blasted him at rocket speeds all over the Bay Area and, once, to Seattle and back in a day each direction, and he is still waiting for a chance to show his appreciation. Faye currently has approximately 82,000 miles, disgracefully old engine oil, and a mysterious, battery-killing current draw. She is named after Faye Valentine of Cowboy Bebop.
ROSETTE - 1995 FIREBALL ORANGE TRIUMPH SPEED TRIPLE

Rosette entered Eugene’s life in May of 2006 with about 28,000 miles. She was a surprise find in his hunt for a budget-friendly first motorcycle, and was exactly the opposite of what he was looking for: big, heavy, powerful, old, and brash. Unfortunately, he quickly discovered that she was a British machine through and through: problematic and hard to fix. She has had mechanical issues since the beginning, and sat in a shop for six months before the issue was diagnosed as a dead ignition pickup sensor. Despite all the problems that have arisen, Eugene loves this bike very, very much, and wants nothing better than to spend lots of quality time with her. Rosette is named after Rosette Christopher of Chrno Crusade.
APRIL - 2007 CANDY PLASMA BLUE KAWASAKI NINJA EX250

Purchased in January of 2007, this machine is the culmination of Eugene’s current vehicular leanings. His first brand new vehicle, she is small, light, agile, and economical, while still being quite fast and powerful. She’s no sleek super-sport rocket, but she’s still plenty fast while getting 70mpg. The poor bike has had to endure two crashes in the two months following her purchase. The second was fairly serious, involving lots of cracked plastics and a bent swingarm, and she is currently being restored for use as a streetfighter and track bike. April is named after April Nardini from Gilmore Girls.
