1. Where did you meet?
I went with Ryan to meet a few of his then-girlfriend’s friends. After we pulled up and introduced ourselves to the three strange girls standing on the lawn, the first thing I did was poke Ryan and whisper, “Man… Alice is cute!” He looked at me and nodded solemnly.

2. What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
“Man… Alice is cute!”

3. Do you remember what they were wearing?
I remember that she was wearing jeans (there was an ass contest), but not what shirt she was wearing. I’m going to take a wild guess on her Doors t-shirt.

4. Where was the first time you kissed this person?
The kitchen in my parents’ house, after I took her to see a night of pageant training in SF.

5. How did he/she ask you out?
She didn’t… and I didn’t either! The following Sunday (the kiss was on Wednesday night) in the car with a couple of friends, we kind of looked at each other and said “Hey… we’re probably dating now, aren’t we?” Y’know, since we’d been sleeping together and all. XD

6. Where did you go for your first date?
Dave and Buster’s for Rosa’s surprise welcome home from Japan party.

7.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
Technically… what, a month and a half? I’d only seen her three times before, though.

No… she claims we aren’t married.

Not yet.

Pretty much the first night I met her. I wouldn’t have done anything about it, though, if it hadn’t been for Ryan’s and Danielle’s meddling….

Apparently. XD

Yes.

Expensive… I think a season of House DVDs takes the prize, but I’m not sure. She’s a poor college student. Although she tried to get me a $150 cowboy hat for Christmas!

Not like being submissive in bed. XD

Pretend to be sad/hurt/angry/offended by something she says!

18. Where do you see each other in 15 years from now?
In a beautiful house with our kids… her going off every day to do big, important physics research, me staying at home writing, taking care of the kids, and working on my 47 project cars and motorcycles (it’ll be okay, because we’ll have 48 pets).

A. Yes!

A. You know, I don’t really know. Mostly I just played video games and didn’t think much. After about age 14 it was to be a singer.

A. Enough patience to be able to practice things. XD I have a lot of talents that I’m pretty okay at, but I can’t make myself practice any one of them enough to actually be GOOD.

4) If I bought you a drink what would it be?
A. Some kind of nice beer… and I mean REAL beer, like Guinness or Newcastle or Tetley’s… or Caffrey’s, but then we’d be in Ireland.

5) Favorite vegetable?
A. Pee-tainting aspara-guys!

6) What was the last book you read?
A. The last book I finished was First Among Sequels.

7) What the most embarrassing thing you’re willing to admit?
A. What is this “embarrassing” you speak of? Seriously, I don’t get embarrassed by much.

A. None. I have a massive master plan for a full-back series of tattoos, tucked away for the next time I get my heart broken… but it looks like that isn’t going to happen.

A. Probably procrastination. And leaving my hand on the shifter. Poor synchros….

10) If you saw me walking down the street would you offer me a ride?
A. Probably! Although come to think of it, I don’t think I know what you look like.

11) What is your favorite sport?
A. Road racing.

12) Do you have a Negative or Optimistic attitude?
A. I mostly express pessimism, but I usually harbor a secret belief that everything’s just going to kind of work out nicely.

A. …try to get out? Why, what would you do? o_O

14) Worst thing to ever happen to you?
A. Heh… There’re quite a few candidates for this position… but everything that’s happened in my life has made me the person I am now, so whatever. Let’s just say the prime candidate involves the death of a loved one wrecking my life for ten years, shall we?

A. I’m extremely uncomfortable pooping unless I’m completely and totally naked.

A. Yep! Two cats, a plethora of little freshwater fish… hopefully in a year there’ll be a puppy and a third cat.

A. I’d probably ask you what was going on… and then we’d play video games.

A. Neither?

A. Un-ugly! Just kidding. Probably I’d make my face less round… I don’t like perpetually looking like I’m 15. Height might be nice too, but maybe it wouldn’t be.

A. I’d probably be your conscientious crime partner, though leaning more towards the conscience.

A. Dark brown… when I was a kid I was convinced they were black.

A. Twice, both times voluntary surrender, meaning I went down to the station on my own time to be printed, paid bail, and went home.

A. Don’t really care.

A. Probably toss it in my savings account. $10k isn’t enough to really do anything amazing with.

A. Home? I’m a big homebody. I also like racetracks.

GLUTTONY

3. What is the greatest amount of alcohol you’ve had in one sitting/outing/event?: Let’s see… it was either that bottle of vodka I chugged, the ten or so shots of soju I did that one night, or one of the nights of ICBs with the guys. Each of these times was in addition to beers. I’m a middleweight!

5. Do you have an issue with your weight?: Meh… somewhat. I could stand to lose a significant amount of fat, but I don’t think I’d lose much actual poundage from it.

Probably in front of a computer or a TV… it’s true for most days and times.

I don’t even know. It’s a big box Alice has had since before I moved in with her, and I’ve never bothered to see what it is.

4. What brand of shampoo is in your shower right now?
Head and Shoulders… I know Alice has Herbal Essences, among other things.

5. Did you ever get into a bar and drink before you were 21?
Yep.

6. What kind of soap do you use?
Dove body wash or this lavender vanilla (I think) stuff from Bath and Body Works… Rosa got us a bottle for Christmas, and now we’re hooked.

7. Do you watch MTV anymore?
I haven’t really liked watching MTV since back in the day when they actually played music videos. Alice likes to watch trashy things like NEXT, so I watch them too sometimes.

8. What do you think about Oprah?
She’s black? She has decent taste in books.

9. What color are your bedsheets?
The ones we’re using now are white flannel, with a wintery tree/deer theme. Given that it’s April, and getting pretty warm, I have no idea why we’re still using them. :O

10. You need a new pair of jeans..what store do you go first?
Club Monaco… well, not first. First I go everywhere else and realize that only Club Monaco jeans fit me the way I like, and I’m going to have to go there and shell out 90 bucks for a damned pair of jeans.

11. Did you ever watch The O.C.?
Nope.

12. What kind of car do you drive?
2000 Chevy Camaro SS convertible… my baby. But I really, really miss my 95 Nissan Maxima that’s sitting in my parents’ garage in Saratoga. See here, btw, for both cars and two motorcycles.

13. Honestly, is that car insured?
Yep… bare minimum liability, just like the Maxima and the Triumph. The Ninja’s currently uninsured, since it’s a crash victim that’s still in rehab!

I LOVE sushi.

Yep.

16. Did your parents spoil you growing up?
Not really… they gave me lots of things I wanted, but also didn’t give me lots of other things… I was very privileged, but I think I escaped the spoiled attitude, as in I don’t feel automatically deserving of everything, nor do I blow off valuable things as being commonplace.

17. Do you like roller coasters?
Very much no. I even refused to go on any with Alice at Knott’s Berry Farm a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I REFUSED MY GIRLFRIEND SOMETHING. :OOOOO

Oh, jesus… let’s see. Autoweek, Motor Trend, Road and Track, Sport Compact Car, Grassroots Motorsports, Classic Motorsports, Automobile, EVO, Top Gear, Cycle World, Sport Rider, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics… I think I missed a few. Do you see a trend?

I don’t really dance, so that’s out… I like bars okay, but they aren’t my favorite places to be. I prefer being at someone’s house, hanging out… alcohol is optional, video games are not!

I think anyone should be allowed to marry anything they want.

22. Who do you think will be the next president?
Who do I think WILL BE the next pres? I really hope I’m wrong, but I think it’s going to be Romney. No matter what people say to public pollsters, I seriously doubt that a plurality of Americans are ready to actually vote for either a black guy or a woman.

Nope.

Yus… second of two.

Nope.

I wear Ralph Lauren Blue on occasion, and I use Hugo Boss aftershave lotion that Alice got me.

Yeah, she’s all right.

A bit under two hours by car.

It’s okay… it’s mind-numbing and makes me hate stupid people more than I already do, but it’s decent money, ultra-flexible hours, and telecommuting, so I really have no right to complain.

That’s a tough one… I like a lot of places. I think Alice’s pants probably top the list. Seriously, though… my motorcycling friend’s horse farm here in Davis is a top pick, as is Tokyo.

Yeah. No concrete beliefs about them, really, just that I think life force remains in some form after death. Oh, and I believe Ouija boards really work. Boy, do I have stories….

No. And hookah is not an exception, dammit… I don’t care how much more pure the stuff is, you’re still breathing in smoke!

LA recently, NYC much less so.

I don’t even remember… I’ve done a fair bit of traveling, I don’t remember which places I didn’t leave the airport for. Dulles, I think…

France! I’m not really planning it, though… I’m just along for the ride.

I don’t know who that is, but with a name like that, he probably is. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. I’d probably do him… but me, I’m a slut. Even if I am straight.

1. If money was of no concern, what motorcycle would you just love to have and ride?

Oh, god… well I must say I already have one, my ‘95 Speed Triple. One headlight is better than two, in my opinion! I’d love to have a new model Speed Triple though, in white. Then there’s the obvious… either a ‘busa or a ZX-14… I think they’re both dead sexy, even disregarding the appeal of suicidal horsepower. Other than those… Aprilia superbikes (Falco) were my first two-wheeled love, so I’d love either a Tuono 1000R or an RSV 1000R. BMW R1150GS for dual-sport touring, an old 60s Triumph Bonneville for classic nostalgia… can you tell I can’t pick just one or two? XD Oh, right… an affordable dream would be an SV650, non-S. Naked rules!

2. If you were on death row, what would you request as a last meal?

Guh… tough question, since I love food so much. The classic fried chicken and cornbread combo might work, though it’s a bit simple. My dad’s filet mignon… barbecue ribs dripping with sauce… really good meat loaf… sushi… pho with more hot sauce than broth… an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet might be best, though. I love seafood, I could prolong it quite a bit, and if I’m (un?)lucky, the seafood might kill me first, since I have a highly unpredictable allergy (usually I have no problem, but 1 time in 20 seafood floors me).

3. If you had to be stuck in an elevator with one person you know, who and why?

My girlfriend Alice (”uh-lease”; she’s French) would be the easy answer. Second place goes to my best friend Ryan… not only can he and I figure our way out of just about any situation imaginable, but we are best able to have unending and uproariously entertaining conversations about just about anything… or nothing.

4. What would your super powers be if you were a superhero? [limit three]

Telekinesis! I have recurring dreams about having Force-like powers to grab far-away objects, usually in mundane situations. “Can you get the salt?” “Sure! *vwoom*” Telepathy would be nice, and round it out with your basic super-senses and/or reflexes (maybe it would help me stop crashing!).

5. When you meet someone for the first time, what d’you notice first?

Overall head-appearance, but mostly I notice eyes, unless they’ve got a weird hairstyle or something. Skin clarity is a close second, with hair third. Along with that, one of the first things I notice is where they point their eyes… what they pay attention to.
